Reports to: Camp Program Manager, Facilities Manager, and Camp Supervisor

Responsibilities:

  • To assist summer camp operation areas and facilities
  • To coordinate and support the summer operations staff weekly and daily housekeeping
  • Assisting in the maintenance of summer campgrounds
  • To assist summer staff in the cleaning of facilities at the end of each session
  • To coordinate the preparation of buses, vans, and equipment for the pickup and dropoff of kids in the communities

Qualifications:

  • A relationship with God and profess to be a born-again Christian
  • Must have regular Church attendance, and a pastor or leader reference
  • Must have a desire to minister to staff and kids in a camp setting consistent with the ministry, missions, values, and goals of FVCA
  • Must have an acceptable level of spiritual, mental, social and emotional maturity
  • Must have a willingness to serve
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
  • Organizational abilities and creativity
  • Supervisory/mentoring experience preferred
  • Good communication skills
  • High energy and outgoing personality
  • Willingness to serve

Expectations:

  • Follow all guidelines by FVCA, including the philosophy, goals, and objectives of FVCA, as well as any secondary procedures and instructions
  • Model Christ-likeness in all things. Your attitude toward activities, summer staff, campers, teens, volunteers, etc… Should reflect in your actions
  • Your spiritual and physical health is crucial to your ministry, therefore you are expected to meet with God daily, get enough rest, to be physically fit to endure the long days of camp, And to participate in all relevant meetings
  • Always be on time. Tardiness will not be accepted. If you are unable to be on time, you must make your supervisor aware, ahead of time
  • Complete daily and weekly housekeeping tasks
  • Follow Health and Safety guidelines
  • Assist in activities in all the areas of camp
  • Assist all summer staff with your time, prayers, energy and encouragement. Have a positive attitude
  • Have fun! Balance organization and spontaneity to create lasting positive memories for staff and campers

The presentation and cleanliness of camp reflect how we serve our kids. You would have a very unique task and opportunity to assist FVCA to accomplish that mission.
