Our passion is… to see lives transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Several years ago we envisioned a more holistic ministry in the housing communities that can only be accomplished in partnership with the local church. Five years ago we took another step toward this vision as we established Fox Valley Christian Action. We have seen the power of partnership with the local church!

Eastwood is a small, public housing community on the east side of Aurora. Every Wednesday throughout the school-year, Main Baptist Church loads our bus with kids from Eastwood and takes them to Word on Wednesday (WOW). At WOW they enjoy a great meal and then feed their souls through the study of God’s Word. Eleven year old Kevia “does not miss WOW”, according to our Community Coordinator, Revella. In fact, “Kevia is the first one on the bus and she’s draggin’ her four year old sister, DeShaiya’H, along with her!” God is at work in this community through our partnership with Main Baptist!

Last summer King Thomas participated in the Leaders in Training level of our Community Leadership Program, and we saw God do amazing work in his life. In the fall, King continued to grow deeper with Jesus as he’s participated in Calvary Baptist’s weekly youth group and Bible study in Elgin. It is so encouraging to see him growing under the discipleship of the local church and continuing the work that we experienced God doing this summer!

Last summer three of our church partners went door-to-door, meeting with families, building relationships and learning how they can serve more effectively in Aurora’s Southwind housing community. This past fall, St. Olaf and Village Bible Church continue to work together to love and care for single-parent moms in this Community. This is God at work, and I am incredibly grateful that you are part of it!

I’m asking today for you to prayerfully consider a gift of $100, $500, $1,000 or $10,000 to help continue to impact lives throughout the coming year! Thank you!
