Student Programs

Our ministry provides opportunities for youth all throughout the year. In the summer months a leadership development program is offered to our teens. During the school year, under the direction of our full-time community coordinators, we offer weekly programs for our teen students and after-school programs for elementary-aged students.

Teen Night Together = TNT

What is TNT?

TNT is FVCA’s Leadership Development Program for Middle School and High School Students. It’s a time where students can learn more about themselves, grow in a relationship with Jesus, hangout with friends and play sports and games.

  • Middle School Students meet Monday Nights
  • High School Students meet Tuesday Nights

Each week during the school year our Community Coordinators and volunteers provide transportation to our campus for our teens to come together for dinner, fellowship and fun.  It is a time for our students to step away from their communities and build positive relationships with one another, volunteers, and our Community Coordinators.

What to expect when attending TNT

Small Group Discussions and Devotional Topics/Bible studies

Career Exploration

Dinner and Snacks

Crossroads Kids Clubs (CKC)

In 2017, FVCA began working in partnership with Crossroads Kids Club to provide after school discipleship clubs in public schools serving low-income communities in the Fox Valley.  These 90-minute weekly clubs include recreation, a snack, a large group Bible lesson, and a small group discussion with a Christian adult.  Through this collaboration we have a great opportunity to connect local churches with the public schools and to help more kids in our local, low-income communities grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus.

Community Leadership Development Program

For our middle school students in the summer we provide a program called CORE.  The primary goal of this program is to help these students recognize their individual potential for leadership and success.  It is a time for them to transition mentally from their experience at camp as children to thinking more about being a young adult.  At this level, students will spend two camp sessions in the summer program and participate in one college or vocational school visit and one career (workplace) tour.

For our high school students in the summer we offer the Crossover program.  These students spend 3 camp sessions with us and also participate in an additional out of state trip.  At this level, students are provided the opportunity to continue to develop leadership skills, explore college and career opportunities, and deepen their walk with the Lord.  During their time in the program, they will participate in 2 college or vocational school tours and two career (workplace) tours.  They will also participate in an out of state trip focused on community service or personal development.
