Reports to: Camp Program Manager

Job Description:

  • To lead and assist in registering kids and youth for summer camp at Riverwoods
  • Communicating with Summer staff, Program director and parents
  • Following all ACA and FVCA guidelines and standards with registration processes


  • Have a relationship with God and profess to be a born-again Christian
  • Must have regular Church attendance, and a pastor or leader references
  • .Must have a desire to minister to college student age and youth in a camp setting consistent with the ministry, missions, values and goals of FVCA
  • Must have a desire to minister to youth, kids and parents in a camp setting consistent with the ministry, missions, values, and goals of FVCA
  • Must have an acceptable level of spiritual, mental, social and emotional maturity
  • Strong organizational abilities, outgoing, creative and energetic
  • Must have phone skills in making outgoing calls as well as receiving calls
  • Have knowledge of using Excel and Google Drive programs
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
  • To adapt and relate cross-culturally and embrace diversity
  • Previous leadership and summer camp experiences are helpful
  • Must be 21 years of age or older


  • Follow all guidelines by FVCA, including the philosophy, goals, and objectives of FVCA, as well as any secondary procedures and instructions
  • Positively represent FVCA in under-resourced communities of the Fox River Valley
  • Model Christ-likeness in all things. Your attitude towards summer staff, campers, teens, parents, volunteers, etc… Should reflect in your actions
  • Your spiritual and physical health is crucial to your ministry, therefore you are expected to meet with God daily, get enough rest, to be physically fit to endure the long days of camp, and to participate in all relevant meetings
  • Always be on time. Tardiness will not be accepted. If you are unable to be on time, you must make your supervisor aware, ahead of time
  • Assist with organizing and filing forms at the end of each session, and at the end of the summer
  • Meet as much as needed it with Camp Supervisor to talk about the registration action plan
  • Being respectful to our kids and parents and building relationships with them
  • Calling parents if needed, and communicating in a diplomatic way
  • Being a liaison between parents and staff
  • Have a moderate time flexibility to meet outside of work hours
  • Ability to do moderate canvassing
  • Have excellent communication skills and legible handwriting
  • Have fun! Balance organization and spontaneity to create lasting positive memories for staff and campers. Your attitude will impact in a huge way the dynamics of summer camp
  • Positivity is a MUST!!!
  • You will be asked to take on different tasks and or assignments as needed

Registration is what keeps us serving and ministering to our kids in the communities, you play a HUGE role for us to meet the number of kids and teens for our weekly and summer goals
