Meet our Team

Jay first served with FVCA as a volunteer in 1987. He then served several seasons on summer staff and joined the year-round career staff in 1992. He served two years as a Community Coordinator in three public housing communities in Elgin, and in 1995 became the Director of Operations. Jay later served for 8 years as the Executive Director, and took on his current role of President & CEO in 2009. Jay grew up in the Chicago suburbs and completed his MBA at Northern Illinois University. Jay and his wife Bella have three adult children. Bella also served several years on summer staff and the school-year volunteer team. They are actively involved in the Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Elgin.

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Joshua is from Elgin, IL and lives with his wife in St. Charles, IL. His first involvement with the ministry was as a summer volunteer in 2015 and subsequently served as summer staff until starting full-time as the Assistant Director of Operations in 2021. Joshua graduated from Iowa State University in 2021 with a B.S in Mechanical Engineering. Joshua enjoys working on cars, tent camping, sailing, and doing home improvement projects.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

Revella serves as our Teen Leadership Development Program Director. She is originally from Atlanta GA, and has lived in the Aurora/Naperville Area for several years. She has served with FVCA since 2004 as a summer staff and later became a full-time Career Staff in 2007. Revella enjoys swimming, cooking and dancing. She has a passion for seeing teens grow in a relationship with Jesus, develop leadership skills, and become the person that God created them to be!

DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

Renee Edsall lives in St. Charles, IL with her husband and son. She grew up in small town Wisconsin and has lived in the Chicagoland area since 2000. Renee has a B.P.S is from Champlain University in Burlington, VT and a Master’s Certificate in Nonprofit Management from North Park University in Chicago, IL. In 2008 Renee began volunteering in various capacities and has served as the Development Coordinator since 2021. She enjoys fellowship planning at her church and cooking.

GUEST RETREAT COORDINATOR

Kris serves as our Guest Retreats Coordinator and is responsible for working with outside groups who use our facility for retreats, conferences, and other activities. She grew up in Nebraska, graduated from the University of Kansas, and then moved to Illinois in 1992 after getting married. Kris and her husband, Jim, have 3 adult sons. Kris has been at FVCA since 2018 and also enjoys gathering with friends, baking, eating, gardening, praying, and Bible study.

MIDDLE SCHOOL LEADERSHIP PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Addison has been serving at FVCA full time since 2023 but started as summer staff in 2022. She is currently the Middle School Program Coordinator. Addison is living in St. Charles but is originally from Montana. She loves spending time with her dog Beans and her cat Miller. Addison’s other favorite pastimes are pottery and anything artsy!

CAMP PROGRAM MANAGER

Lorne was born and raised in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. He is the husband to his wife, Cynthia and father to 4 of their beautiful children. Currently, Lorne oversees the entire summer camp program. He’s earned both his Bachelors of Science and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degrees from Olivet Nazarene University. His favorite pastimes are playing retro video games, watching college football, and playing tennis.

Cheryl lives in St. Charles, IL with her husband and two dogs. She was born in Chicago and grew up in the Chicago suburbs. She has been serving as FVCA’s Operations Administrative Assistant since September 2022, managing donations and payables. She takes delight in getting together with family and friends to share a meal and catch up, and also enjoys gardening.

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS & CFO

Bill has served as the Director of Operations/CFO since 2015 and works with the Teen Leadership Development Program. His first connection with FVCA was as a pastor of a partner church. Bill lives in Elgin, IL with his wife of over 50 years. He has two children and three grandchildren. Bill’s passions are serving others and team building for the purpose of seeing people grow in their relationship with Christ. Bill enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.

KITCHEN MANAGER

Traci serves as our Kitchen Manager & oversees food service for FVCA's programs and guest groups, but her true passion is building close relationships with our teens & summer staff. Traci lives in Elgin and is a single mom of 2 - which she uses to relate with and minister to the families that FVCA serves. Traci began volunteering in 2009 and has been on staff since 2018. Traci's pastimes include trying new restaurants, and traveling with family.
